The final warm up game of the season sees Scunthorpe, newly promoted to National League 2 North, travel down for a full on game.

So again The First XV pit themselves against a team from a division higher to finalise their ambitious pre-season preparations.

Scunthorpe are an old and well respected adversary in the NLD and it is a pleasure to welcome them back to Burntstump for what will be a closely contested physical encounter.

If the lads have any energy left afterwards they will be taking part in the Seniors Sports Day that should be amusing to say the least.

The weather looks set fair, for the spectators, and the bar and kitchen will be open from 1.00pm

The following day Little Ruggers, The Minis and Juniors all return for registration and training from 10.00am

On Saturday 7thSeptember we make the short trip down to Burton ( Peel Croft, Lichfield St, Burton-on-Trent DE14 3RH)  for the opening league game in The Midlands Premier League, it kicks off at 3.00pm. Your support does make a difference.

Our first home league game is on the following Saturday when Doncaster Phoenix come to The Ron Rossin Ground for their first senior visit. It kicks of at 3.00pm and we look forward to a bumper afternoon of support as Level 5 rugby returns to Burntstump after many years. The bar is open from 1.00pm with food and drink available throughout the afternoon.

Come along and get behind Paviors
